False Twist Textured Yarn

False twist textured yarn takes advantage of the thermoplasticity of synthetic fibers such as polyester and nylon. It is heated and shaped while being twisted and crimped, so as to fix the twisted and crimped state of fibers. The finished yarn features bulkiness, good elasticity and zero actual twist. It owns slight torque without real twist and excellent elasticity, hence the name false twist textured yarn.

1、False Twist Yarn

It refers to the process of twisting, heat-setting and untwisting fibers. The yarn retains the bulkiness formed by twisting without actual twist. This three-step process was traditionally adopted, while modern false twist texturing machines can finish production in one step. The yarn boasts fine torque and elasticity, suitable for making crepe fabrics with superior crepe effect and elastic fabrics.

2、Real-twist False Twist Yarn

To endow products with comfortable wear performance brought by the bulkiness of false twist textured yarn, as well as ideal bundling property for superior fabric texture, certain twist is further applied on false twist texturing machines to produce real-twist false twist textured yarn. Nowadays, such yarn can be manufactured via one-step false twist and real twist texturing machines.

3、slub yarn

SLUB YARN

Blend false twist textured yarn with other monofilaments and apply twisting. Due to gap overfeeding, regular slub sections form on the blended fiber surface. These slub sections are fully covered by sheath filaments, while non-slub sections are twisted side by side by sheath and core filaments, which is the commercially developed slub yarn.

Polyester cationic FDY as sheath and white polyester FDY as core make Baoli silk, featuring color absorption effect of cationic yarn on slub parts. White polyester FDY as sheath and white nylon FDY as core make Jinli silk, presenting pure white tone on slub sections.

4、uneven false twist yarn

Made from polyester MOY or POY, it is produced by drawing and false twisting on one-step texturing machines. Different drawing degrees in the drawing section form thick and thin places on yarns. Deformation in the false twist section endows the yarn with uneven thickness appearance and bulkiness. Such textured yarn with uneven linear density is defined as uneven false twist yarn.
