Will the 15% wool felt or shrink in the wash?
Wool fibers can felt with heat, water and agitation, even when they sit inside a blend. With 85% acrylic, the risk is much lower than in a high-wool yarn, but it is not zero. So before you set the care label, knit a test panel. Then wash it at the temperature you plan to print and check its size and surface.
How does this acrylic wool yarn perform on pilling?
Pilling control starts with the yarn, because the ply twist binds surface fibers in. Still, the final result also depends on your stitch density, finishing and how people wear and wash the garment. Can you match a custom shade on an acrylic and wool blend?
Yes, we dye custom shades by color card as well as the standard colors. A blend takes more care than a single fiber, because acrylic takes cationic dyes while wool takes acid dyes. Both fibers have to land on the same shade; otherwise, the yarn shows a two-tone effect. For that reason, we suggest you approve a lab dip on this exact blend before bulk dyeing.

Order a 1 kg sample cone per color and run it on your own machine. Check how many ends you need on your gauge and how the hand feels after washing.
